Boat Cruise & Run!

Please join us on Monday June 15, 2026 for the Sail Away 5K! This unique event will allow guests the option of taking a boat cruise to the start line, run the 5K along the outer harbor, and then enjoy a post race sunset trip back to the Buffalo Boat Tour dock. The awards ceremony will take place on the ride back! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hope Chest Buffalo to benefit breast cancer survivors and a portion to local cat rescue.
OPTION 1: SAIL & RUN
$45 until 6/14/26 then $50*
Head to Buffalo Boat Tours to check in for your cruise and pickup your race gear. The boat will depart from the dock at 6pm SHARP and it's a short 10-15 minute ride over to Charlie's Boat Yard on the Outer Harbor. The start and finish line for the 5K run are a short 2 minute walk from Charlie's and the entire run will take place on the bike path along Fuhrmann Blvd (see map below). After the race you will board the boat for your sunset cruise celebration and awards ceremony back to your vehicle at the Buffalo Boat Tours dock where you started!
OPTION 2: PARK & RUN
$35 until 6/14/26 then $40
Can't stay for the boat ride? Head to Charlie's Boat Yard at the Outer Harbor and pickup your race bib and swag at the start/finish line. Run the race and then head home when you're ready!
OPTION 3: SAIL ONLY
$35 until 6/14/26 then $40*

*Options 1 & 3 include a drink ticket good for 1 draft beer or soda on the boat courtesy of Buffalo Boat Tours! Cash bar on board.
Please note that the boat has a capacity of 130 persons per US Coast Guard regulations. Sign up early to secure your spot!

The 5K route is shown below but remember that if you are planning to take the boat ride you will need to be at Buffalo Boat Tours prior to the 6pm departure. The boat will pull away from the dock at 6pm sharp and it's just a short 15-20 minute ride over to Charlie's Boat Yard. The 5K race is set to start at 6:30pm.
REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open until the start of the race. Packet pickup will take place at Buffalo Boat Tours from 5pm to 6pm for those taking the boat ride. If you are not taking the boat ride you can head straight to the start/finish line at Charlies Boat Yard and pickup your race packet from 5pm until the start of the race at 6:30pm!

Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions.
